अर्थचक्र: विरोधबाट विकासतर्फ

Team Explore Idea organized a panel discussion titled “अर्थचक्र: विरोधबाट विकासतर्फ”, which focused on Nepal’s current economic situation and the concerns that may arise in the coming years. The event was joined by three notable figures: former Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank, Mr. Chiranjivi Nepal, Nabil Bank CEO, Mr. Manoj Gyawali, and Finance Ministry Secretary, Mr. Ghanashyam Upadhaya. Their insights made the entire session very engaging and informative.

The discussion centered around the aftermath of the Gen-Z revolution and how it might influence Nepal’s economy. The speakers talked about possible macroeconomic challenges, especially those related to the business environment, foreign exchange pressure, and the decline of foreign investment. They explained how unstable policies, slow reforms, and the lack of investor-friendly practices could create obstacles for Nepal’s economic stability in the future. Alongside this, they discussed what steps the country can take to build confidence among investors and strengthen the overall business climate.

Even with these concerns, the panelists shared an optimistic outlook. They mentioned that Nepal’s economy is still moving forward and expressed belief that Nepal will soon be removed from the FATF grey list, which will help improve international trust. They highlighted that controlling brain drain and encouraging a stronger business culture within the country can push Nepal to a much higher level of development.

The session ended with a hopeful message, reminding participants that improvement is possible if Nepal focuses on clear policies, long-term planning, and an environment where businesses can grow confidently.
